Sailing Kit

Suitable Sailing clothing (this doesnt need to be expensive, there is often old kit for sale or Decathlon is a great shop!). If you are struggling to get kit let us know, there are some bits at the club that can be sold or ask around, children grow and other people may be selling. Please note children do not have fun if they are cold, if children are not suitably dressed we may not be able to take them on the water. Sailors must bring:

• wet suit (FULL not short) - the water is cold!
• buoyancy aid (can be borrowed from the club for first few sessions),
• warm hat or cap if sunny
• spray top / cheap waterproof
• suitable footwear: wet-boots, old trainers
• thermals (cheap ones from Decathlon under a wetsuit)
• Wetsuit socks recommended but not compulsory
• sailing gloves recommended but not compulsory

Sailors will also need warm clothes (including trainers and warm coat so they can take part in dry land activities)
